SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE PREMIER
London Tigers 1
Hillingdon Borough 3

LONDON Tigers suffered their fifth league defeat of the season at the hands of Hillingdon Borough on Saturday.

Things began badly for the hosts when Bamba Kavanly conceded an early eighth-minute penalty just inside his own area by taking out Robert Gradwell.

Hillingdon's Jimmy Froud despatched the spot kick past Jamie Adim to give the visitors the lead, but the Tigers fought back and went close through Jose Huender dos Santos.

Kavanly then made up for his earlier error with a long mazy run on 25 minutes which culminated in a lay-off for Jabir Laraba to poke beyond the goalkeeper into the far corner of the net.

Both teams made it to half time without troubling the score further but it took just seven minutes after the restart for Hillingdon to find the net again.

A corner floated in was cleared out to Sam Hurrell, who attempted an audacious lob from 40 yards which flew over Adim into the goal.

And the defeat was sealed on 70 minutes when the Tigers gave away another penalty, Jonathan Devite the culprit as he tripped Robert Laney.

Laney picked himself up to convert into the top corner, and as time wound down the Tigers failed to break through a resolute Hillingdon defence.

Tigers now sit fourth from bottom in the league.
