QPR's hopes of landing Darren Ambrose have been dashed after the midfielder signed a new three-year deal at Crystal Palace.

The 26-year-old looked set to be reunited with former boss Neil Warnock at Loftus Road this summer, only for the move to be blocked at the 11 th hour by the Eagles.

And Ambrose has finally put an end to speculation by pledging his future to the south Londoners.

"It's been a hard few months with all the speculation about my future, but I am delighted to be signing the new contract," he told the club's website.

"I have always wanted to remain at this football club and I am pleased it is all resolved."
