Division 3B Teddington Town 134 all out (6pts)

Hayes 135-5 (20pts) Hayes won by five Wickets

AN IMPROVED all-round performance helped Hayes to their first home win of the season against Teddington on Saturday.

Chasing a target of 134, Simon Green and Ram Ramneth attacked the bowling from the start, and when Green was bowled for 34, Hayes had nearly reached the 50-run mark.

Chris Frost scored a quick-fire 22, and Andy Pedersen was 25 not out when Hayes passed Teddington's score in the 26th over.

Earlier, Claudius Wayland struck to dismiss Town's danger man for a duck, and he took a second scalp to leave Teddington struggling at 15-2.

The visitors started a slow recovery, but they could only reach 134 before the final wicket went in the 50th over.

Elsewhere, the 2nd XI held on valiantly for a draw in their top-ofthe-table clash against Maidenhead's thirds.

Tommy King's 4-59 helped to skittle out their hosts for 220.

And despite a nightmare start in reply, losing both openers with just 30 on the board, veteran Colin Richardson (43) and youngster Ryan Morgan (38) steered them home to salvage a share of the spoils.
