AFC Wimbledon have snapped up former Brentford striker Ross Montague.

Your favourite local paper exclusively revealed Terry Brown's interest in the out-of-contract 20-year-old earlier this summer.

The Dons boss had kept tabs on Monty, who's still been training with the Bees trying to earn a new deal, during pre-season in a bid to complete complete his strikeforce.

He made his return from injury in a Brentford reserve game on Tuesday, and Brown is delighted he's finally got his man.

He said: "Ross is a player we have tracked over the last couple of years. He's a tall, strong and aggressive front runner with two good feet and an eye for goal.
“He's still in the process of recovering from a knee injury he suffered last year, and although he has completed a full pre-season with Brentford, he needs to get match fit over the next four weeks.

"Although he will not be involved over this weekend, I hope that he will be able to play at least 60 minutes for the reserves next Tuesday.”
