Acton's swimmers got off to an authoritative start in the final round of the Milton Keynes Junior Speedo League when Tasha Lizak Naikauskas, Louise Innes, Maisie Preston and Alice Kuzmenko surged to victory in the 12-years medley relay.
That win set them up for a fine meet in which they finished well ahead of Wycombe, Harrow & Wealdstone, Chelsea & Kensington, host club Aylesbury and St Ives.
Although the bigger clubs of Wycombe and Harrow subsequently overtook the small Acton squad, nine first and 10 second places meant that
Acton's swimmers finished comfortably in third place - securing their position in Division One in this prestigious national event.
Acton's 11-year-old swimmers were a force to be reckoned with.
Tasha Lizak Naikauskas was in splendid form, winning the backstroke and freestyle races and was just pipped at the post in the 12-years backstroke.
Adam Plavsic also won both his individual back and breaststroke events in the 11-year age group and was second in the 12-years breaststroke.
The girls' 11-years freestyle team of Tasha, Sioned Bryant, Alexandra Vangelatos and Louise Innes won the freestyle relay and were second in the medley event, while Innes came second in the 50m individual breaststroke.
The boys' 11-years team of Lewis Rodriguez, Bonus Phok, Adam Aubeelack, Adam Plavsic, Tatsuki Kawagishi and Josh Wood were second in the freestyle and medley relay events and Tatsuki Kawagishi was unlucky to be pushed into second place in the individual 50m butterfly.
Maisie Preston, 12, was also on fine form, winning the 50m butterfly and finishing second in the breaststroke.
Jordan de Zoysa was second in the boys' 50m butterfly and third in the 12-years freestyle relay with Max Blackwell, Adam Plavsic and Josh Wood.
Drawing on his reserves of stamina, Josh Wood, 10, swam in nine events, winning the individual backstroke and freestyle in his age group and helping out in the 10, 11 and 12-years relays.
Competition was particularly fierce in the younger age groups and Maggie Innes and Matthew Plavsic did well to achieve third places in their individual races in the nine-years age group.
Bonus Phok was third in the 10-years butterfly and with Matthew Plavsic, Josh Wood and Lewis Rodriguez, third in the 10-year medley relay.
Valuable team and individual points were also won by Emer Walsh, Helena Phillips, Isabel Barnes, Michael Vangelatos, Miki Ivanovich, Ieuan Beetham, Cameron Roker, Anna and Sophie Szyszko, Sofia Tedeschi Atkins and Aukse Vijeikyte.
