Northwood boss Dave Anderson was left fuming after leaders Aveley snatched an equalising goal deep into stoppage time last night (Monday 23/2).

Anderson was at a loss to understand why referee Constantine Hatzidakis added on eight or more minutes of injury time, at which point the Ryman League Division One North leaders netted to claim a 1-1 draw.

Woods took the lead after 27 minutes when from Ryan Tackley's free kick Bradley Hewitt placed his header in just under the crossbar.

It looked like Woods would then hold out for three more points to further boost their play-off aspirations.

However, the referee than added his injury time and Aveley salvaged a point when substitute Simon Thomas fired home to take the gloss of a fine result for Northwood, which at least extended their unbeaten run to 13 games.
