Uxbridge will face Swindon Supermarine in the second round of the FA Trophy after the Wiltshire side overcame Eastbourne Borough 1-0 last night (Wednesday 17/12).
A 73rd minute Ashley Edenborough goal gave the British Gas Business League Premier Division side victory over their Blue Square Premier opponents.
Eastbourne were favourites to win the delayed first round clash but were deservedly beaten on the night and also missed a first half penalty.
Uxbridge will now entertain Swindon, who currently sit second in the Premier Division table, at Honeycroft on January 10.
This is reward for the Reds fine 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday and is the first time they have reached the second round of the FA Trophy, sponsored by Carlsberg.
