Fulham have made a bid for Diego Rolan of Bordeaux, but just who is he?

The 24-year-old striker has been linked with some big names in the past, with Manchester United having a look at him, while Everton reportedly made a bid for him last summer.

He's the third striker that the club have bid for, with Montpellier's Steve Mounie and Braga's Rui Fonte both being targeted by the Craven Cottage outfit.

But just who is Rolan?

Don't worry if you're not sure who he is, we've got all you need to know about him right here.

What history does he have? Everton were interested in the 24-year-old last summer, but Bordeaux tried holding out for more money than the Toffees were prepared to offer.

Manchester United scouted him too, while Bayen Munich, Norwich and Brighton were also watching while he was with Bordeaux.

What's the likeliness of him signing? Fulham are hopeful of securing his signature, and are the only club to have made a bid so far.

With Mounie looking more and more unlikely, this will be one of their highest priorities.

What is our reporter's verdict? This would be a fantastic signing - he's young, athletic and can score goals, which is what Fulham desperately need.

Rolan, if he adapts to English football quickly, could well be the 15-20 goal a season striker any Championship winning side needs.

Finger's crossed.
