Moussa Dembele says his feet are firmly on the ground - and that’s because he surrounds himself with people telling him what’s what.

The 19-year-old has become something of a Championship sensation and coveted by a host of clubs that include Tottenham, Everton, Chelsea and Liverpool - see video above.

His 17 goals in all competition in tandem with Ross McCormack kept Fulham afloat last season as relegation threatened to sink them.

As a result, he is currently weighing up offers including the one on the table from the Whites.

He was recently told by ex-Chelsea and World Cup winner Frank Leboeuf to seek a club where he gets games - rather than chase a promise and a payday.

Even so, agent Mamadi Fofana has been in touch with the likes Galatasaray in Turkey and even Real Madrid to gauge interest.

His client has hinted, however, he’s happy in the UK and would like to stay.

During the TV programme, Telefoot After, he spoke of his disdain for all the back slapping on the back of one great season.

“My entourage are keen for me to stay grounded so I pay attention without worrying too much about what is said about me,” Dembele said.

“In the UK football is a way a life and a religion; it is mad, regardless of in which division the club is.”

TV interview with Dembele and Leboeuf, in French, is below.
