Wealdstone have added to their squad with the signing of highly rated creative midfielder Danny Green from Margate.

The 25-year-old started his career with Harlow Town and then enjoyed experience with Cheshunt and Bishop's Stortford before moving to Billericay Town in 2009.

He then joined Dagenham & Redbridge on a three-year contract in May 2010, initially adding to his experience on loan at several clubs.

He made his professional debut for the Daggers later that season coming on as a substitute in their 5–0 away loss to Bournemouth in the League Cup Second Round.

Stones Manager Gordon Bartlett said: “I spoke to Danny last pre- season, so twelve months of patience has been rewarded and I am excited that his creativity and eye for a goal will be a big asset to the squad.

“Now in his mid-20s, Danny is the type of player who possesses the ability to be a match winner and provide entertainment for the fans as well.”

Green was also keen to make the move to join Wealdstone.

CEO Mark Winkworth said: “We wanted Danny and Danny wanted Wealdstone. I met him and his father last week and they were keen to come to Wealdstone, having heard good things about the club.

“Danny is a fantastic addition to our squad for next season. He will bring a vast amount of experience and will give us some extra flair in the midfield."
