QPR refused to be short-changed if Samba Diakite goes out on loan.

Boss Harry Redknapp admitted the midfielder is available, but Watford are going to have to increase their wage offer if they still want the French-born midfielder – yet to make a first-team Championship appearance this season.

The Hornets got turned down last week when they made a move for the 25-year-old who takes home close to £10,000-a-week.

And Harry admits the player is caught between a rock and a hard place unless someone foots the bill.

He added: “It’s difficult. He’s been wanting to go out on loan, but if a club wants him they’ve got to take his contract.

“He’s available if the right offer comes in but not to someone who only wants to pay a very small part of his wages. If someone wants him; take him, but no one does any favours.”
