Ryan Tunnicliffe has followed his former Manchester United team-mate Larnell Cole in heading out of Fulham on loan today.

The Whites earlier confirmed Cole was joining MK Dons until the end of the season and now Tunnicliffe has been confirmed as Wigan’s latest recruit.

He arrived at Craven Cottage alongside Cole on January transfer deadline day as old boss Rene Meulensteen looked to put his stamp on the squad.

But it would appear new manager Felix Magath doesn’t see a place for the duo in his first-team squad and has sent them out on loan to gain experience.

Latics manager Uwe Rosler said: "Ryan is a very promising prospect player who has experience in the Championship, and I’m delighted we’ve got someone who is so football-educated, having come through the ranks at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson. He will definitely add a new dimension to us."

Prior to joining the Whites, 21-year-old midfielder Tunnicliffe made 29 loan appearances for Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship.
