QPR are on the verge of completing a deal to sign of Watford defender Tommie Hoban, according to Sky Sports.
The deal to bring Hoban is expect to be a season-long loan deal.
The 23-year-old spent last season at relegated side Blackburn Rovers, making 16 appearances for the Lancashire side.
His season was also disrupted by a long-term shoulder injury, which kept the defender out of action for four months.
Hoban has spoken of his desire to make a claim for a first team spot at Vicarage Road, but with high competition for places, but it's believed that opportunity won't arise for at least 12 months.
The defence is a specific area of focus for QPR in the summer transfer window after Ian Holloway's side conceded 66 goals last season in a campaign which saw them finish 18th in the Championship.
A number of clubs, including Sheffield United and Bolton are thought to be interested in the defender, but according to reports, the Loftus Road club look set to pip them to the post.
