QPR have been linked with a move for defender Mike Williamson, according to Football League World.

The 33-year-old will be a free agent on June 1 after being released from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the season.

The former-Newcastle United man signed an 18-month deal in January 2016, before a series of niggling injuries hampered his availability.

Williamson joined Southampton as a 17-year-old, before spells at Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers and Watford, although his most notable spell was on Tyneside where he made 150 appearances for the Toon Army.
