Queens Park Rangers face competition for one of their reported targets this summer.

The Hoops are reportedly interested in Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom, but they now face competition for his signature - from Premier League newboys Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers have already been very active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in five permanent signings so far.

And now, according to reports, they have entered the race for Yiadom, who is a target for Ian Holloway, by lodging a bid in the region of £750,000 for him.

The 25-year-old made 32 appearances for the Tykes last season as they finished 14th. The Yorkshire outfit are thought to be holding out for £2 million for the defender, who is about to enter the final year of his contract.

Swansea City are also interested in the Ghana international.
