Fulham have slapped a £7m price-tag on Nottingham Forest target Kevin McDonald, according to the Nottingham Post.

Forest boss Mark Warburton is believed to be an admirer of the Scotsman, and according to the Sun, was hoping to tie up a £3m deal for the midfielder.

However according to reports, Fulham don't want to lose the former Burnley midfielder, and will demand that Forest break their transfer record if they are to get their man.

Scottish side Rangers have also been linked with a move for McDonald, but are likely to be put off by his hefty price tag.

McDonald made 48 appearances for Fulham last season, scoring three goals.
