Everton are edging closer to agreeing a deal with QPR for young winger Josh Bowler, according to Sky Sports.

The Toffees have made two approaches for the 18-year-old so far this summer, but both were rejected by the Hoops.

Although a deal is not thought to be agreed, it's thought that the two clubs are not far away.

Bowler signed his first professional deal in February, but was reported to have rejected a new deal within the last month, signalling his intent to move if the opportunity arose.

The winger has made just one first team appearance for the Hoops, during their 4-0 defeat on the final day of the season against Norwich City.
