Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Alex Pritchard is in Tottenham's plans for next season after impressing on loan at Brentford.
The England U21 international won the players' player of the year trophy at Griffin Park and was runner up in the supporters category.
Pritchard made 43 league appearances for Brentford as they finished fifth in the Championship and his performances led to him being named in the PFA team of the year.
The dynamic midfielder showed flashes of brilliance but his form was inconsistent in the opening months of the season.
But, after Alan Judge got injured in January, he found another level and produced a string of excellent performances and was consistently one of the club's best players on the pitch.
Over the course of the season, Pritchard scored 12 goals and his powerful free kicks became a trademark of his time at Brentford.
The Bees had made a bid to make the 22-year-old a permanent signing but it was rejected at Spurs and Pochettino is keen to see the midfielder at White Hart Lane.
The Spurs boss said in a Q&A on Tottenham's Facebook page: “Yes of course, he is in our plans for next season.
“He starts pre-season when he gets back from the Euros and we are looking forward to having him back after a successful loan with Brentford.”
