Southend have rubbished reports linking Brentford with keeper Daniel Bentley.

Reports this week suggested the Bees made a £500,000 bid for the 21-year-old shot-stopper, which was rebuffed by the League Two club.

However, Shrimpers boss Phil Brown insists there's been no offers on the table for Bentley, who has kept four clean sheets in his last five outings.

He told the Echo: “There have been no bids for Daniel and it’s not true we’ve turned down an offer from Brentford for him."

Meanwhile, Young forward Montell Moore is set to be sent out on loan to FC Midtjylland, who are also owned by Bees supremo Matthew Benham.
