Scott Malone has written a heartfelt goodbye message to Fulham fans after sealing a transfer to Huddersfield.

The full back impressed for the Whites over the course of the last campaign and helped them reach a play-off spot.

Reading, however, ended Malone and Fulham's dream of Premier League promotion; something the former Millwall man is still gutted about.

He wrote on Twitter: “I would like to thank everybody involved with Fulham Football Club for the great time I had last season.

“I am still devastated we couldn't get the job done and get promoted to the Premier League. The fans really did deserve it for the support you showed the lads all the way through the season.

“I loved my time at the club and I will take some great memories with me.

“All the best for the upcoming season and I hope you go one step better.”

The 26-year-old made 36 Championship appearances, scoring six goals last season.
