Fulham have reportedly knocked back a bid for George Williams from Scunthorpe Town.

The Welshman had spent most of the season on loan at MK Dons before impressing for the U23 side on his return, although he hasn't played for the first team since 2015.

Charlton, Burton, Portsmouth and Plymouth have all been reported as having interested in the 21-year-old, but Fulham hold him in high regard and have had him training with the first team towards the end of the season, even bringing him with the squad to their Play-off semi final second leg with Reading to give him vital first team experience.

He is entering the last year of his contract at Craven Cottage, but after scoring 15 goals in 17 appearances the club would like to tie him down to a longer deal.

Meanwhile, Cauley Woodrow has been called up to the England U21 squad for the European Championship campaign in Poland.
