QPR have signed West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison on loan for the rest of the season.

The 93-day deal - the maximum time permitted - has been in the pipeline for the past couple of weeks, but was put on hold so the England Under-21 star would be eligible for the play-off final should Rangers miss out on automatic promotion.

“I just want to help QPR get to the Premier League – that’s my only objective during my time here,” he told the club's website.

“If we manage to do that, it would be great for everybody connected with the club.

“All I want to do is play football. I just want to show everyone what I can do week in, week out.

“The aim here is to get the club promoted and I want to contribute in helping QPR to get there.”

Morrison is in line to make his QPR debut in Saturday's Championship clash with Charlton Athletic.

“Ravel’s a number 10 really – he can make goals; he can score goals," said Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, who hopes the 21-year-old will boost his side's attacking options.

“He can run at pace and beat people. Hopefully, he will open the door and do something special by dropping in behind the front man.”
