QPR new boy Josh Scowen has described himself as a 'little rat' who will run around and give 100 per cent to the cause

Rangers saw off the competition of Brentford, Fulham and Aston Villa to bring the Barnsley midfielder back to London.

And Scowen has promised supporters that he will give everything in his power to help the club improve after two disappointing seasons in the Championship.

He told the club's official website: “I'm a little rat to be honest. I'm someone who will run around and give 100 per cent, make that big tackle to get the fans going and try and bring a bit of passing as well.”

Scowen was brought up in north London and started his senior career at Wycombe, who are managed by QPR favourite Gareth Ainsworth.

The midfielder is delighted to be back in the capital and will now be putting his energies into winning a starting spot come August

“It's nice to be back in London and closer to my family. It was always a factor in coming here,” he added

“I'll do my best to impress in pre-season and hopefully come the start of the season I'll be in the starting line-up.”
