QPR hope central defender Grant Hall will commit his long-term future to the club after offering him improved terms.

The 24-year-old joined from Tottenham last summer on a two-year deal and has been one of Rangers’ top performers in his 22 appearances.

That has led to interest from elsewhere but boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is keen for him to stay and is hopeful Hall will put pen to paper this week on a four-year deal, reports MirrorOnline.

The QPR defender paid tribute to the work Tottenham did for his career in an interview in November.

Rain man: Grant Hall points the way at Bristol

“When I left Brighton to go to Tottenham, it was the right thing to do, and I have no regrets," he said.

“Things didn’t work out - such is football.

“But there was Gareth Bale and Luka Modric; and I’m walking in star struck. There were top class coaches like Les (Ferdinand), Tim (Sherwood), and Chris (Ramsey) and they helped me develop.

“The technical side was a lot different to what I was used to. It was a lot sharper.”
