Queens Park Rangers have announced the signing of youngster Giles Phillips.

The 19-year-old American previously played with FC Barrington USA.

Phillips impressed while training with Paul Hall's side towards the end of the 2016-17 campaign, leading to the club offering the young prospect a full-time contract at the club.

The youngster is a defender by trade, and will join the Queens Park Rangers Under-23 side for the forthcoming season.

Phillips joins on a one-year contract, and will look to replicate the impact of youngsters such as Ryan Manning who forced his way into the first team fold midway through last season.

Manning is now deemed to be a first team regular at the club, and will be seen as an excellent role model to Phillips as he joins the club.
