QPR are set to ramp up their transfer activity in the next few days, according to Tony Fernandes.

Harry Redknapp is yet to add to his squad since winning promotion via the Championship play-offs in May.

However, the Rangers boss has agreed a deal to sign former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and is hopeful of luring Cardiff City's Steven Caulker to Loftus Road.

Ajax frontman Kolbeinn Sigthorsson is also set for a move to W12 after the R's met the £5million asking price for the Iceland star.

Air Asia chief Fernandes is turning his attention to QPR and is confident of getting some deals over the line shortly.

He tweeted: "Okay off day for me today. Focus on QPR next few days. Transfer time."
