Brentford are set to give Portsmouth the green light to extend the loan spell of Toumani Diagouraga.

The Bees midfielder has featured five times since joining Pompey last month, but is due to return to Griffin Park after Saturday's trip to Fleetwood.

Portsmouth boss Richie Barker is keen to keep the Frenchman, but Brentford counterpart Mark Warburton had indicated he would bring back Diagouraga once the deal expired.

However, with Jake Reeves performing well, the Bees chief looks ready to rubber-stamp an extension, although the League One promotion chasers would have a 24-hour recall clause.
