Billionaire Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is known for splashing the cash at Stamford Bridge - but there are plenty of players available on free transfers the Blues could snap up this summer.
It emerged late last month that boss Jose Mourinho was considering a shock return for Atletico Madrid’s Tiago as part of a triple transfer swoop on this year’s beaten Champions League finalists.
However, Tiago is just one of a number of top-class stars available on Bosman deals during the summer transfer window. Champions League veterans like Victor Valdes, Bacary Sagna and Esteban Cambiasso are all available for moves.
Chelsea themselves are using the bosman system to move players on too, with Ashley Cole heading for the exit and Frank Lampard rumoured to be hopping across the pond to sign for newly-formed MLS franchise New York City FC.
