Chelsea are yet to receive any approaches for Romelu Lukaku.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho claims he has had no contact with other clubs for the striker, currently excelling on loan with Premier League rivals Everton.

Everton are keen to keep hold of the Belgian powerhouse and rumours are swirling that Tottenham Hotspur want him as part of their summer recruitment drive.

But Mourinho says the phone has not been ringing and is not prepared to discuss the future of the man Chelsea hoped would be the long-term successor to Didier Drogba.

Goalscorer: Romelu Lukaku has found his shooting boots at Everton

“I don’t think it’s the right time to speak about it,” said the Special One. “He’s a Chelsea player but also an Everton player until the end of the season.

“Everton is being a good club for a loan. Our player is playing there and developing. That doesn’t happen with every loan and every player but the Lukaku loan is working.”

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has worked hard to get the best out of the Blues hitman at Goodison Park.

Lukaku has scored 13 times for Everton and Martinez believes a strong finish to the campaign will see the striker earn a lucrative move this summer.

"I truly believe that Romelu's found that experience so far,” Martinez said. “It's exactly what he needed from a personal point of view and I think the next seven games will be very important to see where the next chapter is for Romelu.

Chase: Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants Lukaku to remain on Merseyside

"It's not about whether we get into the Champions League or not. It's more about the focus of the club.

"We want to carry on growing. We want to be a club who look to get into the Champions League consistently. That's very important for a young player who wants to fulfil his potential.

"Whatever happens in the summer will be something good, because with the season he's had, it can only be positive."
