Nemanja Matic has refused to rule out leaving Chelsea and claims he has his own reasons for not celebrating his goal at Sunderland.

Matic scored on the stroke of half-time to restore Chelsea’s lead at the Stadium of Light before the Black Cats produced a dramatic turnaround on Wearside.

The towering Serbian midfielder remained emotionless after finding the net to raise more questions over his future as speculation mounts he could depart Stamford Bridge.

Juventus are credited with an interest in signing the tall Blues star and it is rumoured the Italians are eyeing up a £20million transfer swoop this summer.

Manchester United have also been mentioned as a potential bidder if Jose Mourinho gets the Old Trafford job.

Matic’s unusual reaction to scoring only adds fuel to those rumours and the 27-year-old’s reasoning behind his actions will do little to quell the transfer talk.

"I have my reasons," he said after the defeat to Sam Allardyce’s side. "Everything can change in a couple of months."

It was a disastrous day for Chelsea at Sunderland as captain John Terry received a late red card for picking up two bookable offences.

That is Terry’s second dismissal of the Premier League campaign and will rule him out of the club’s final two fixtures of the season.

Terry is out of contract in west London at the end of term and it appears he may have played his last game in the famous blue shirt.

"We know what he has done for this club and what he has won," Matic said, seemingly calling time on the skipper’s career.

"All of us in the team wish him all the best for the future. Of course this is not a good way to finish in a club, but we don’t forget what he won and what he has already done."

Matic has three years remaining on his Chelsea contract but has failed to sparkle in the side this term after impressing on his return to the club the previous season.
