Jose Mourinho has one burning wish for the January transfer window – that there are no comings or goings whatsoever.

The Chelsea boss says he does not think it likely he will go looking for players and does not want anyone to leave.

“The market is closed and in this moment, I'm not worried about the market,” said the Portuguese.

“I would be happy if, in January, nothing happens with us.

“I spoke with the players yesterday (Thursday) – the first time we were together with the final group and I told them what I most wish is that in January everybody's happy, nobody wants to leave. I'm happy with everybody and I want nobody to come in. That's what I want for January.

“I think that would be the perfect situation for us.”

Mourinho added: “Of course we think about the future. We look at other players. We keep doing our work. [Technical director Michael] Emenalo has his group of scouts.

“They are not sleeping in spite of the market being closed. They are working. But just from a coach point of view, I would like the market to be closed in January.”
