Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho's son has left Fulham after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent at the end of March.

The 17-year-old, who shares his father's name, was a goalkeeper at the club and had been at Fulham since he was 14 years old.

He had previously signed a new scholarship deal with the Craven Cottage outfit in July 2016 which was set to run until 2018, but after struggling with an ankle injury cancelled his contract by mutual consent.

Jose Mourinho Jr had spells at Inter Milan, CD Canillas, Chelsea and Real Madrid before making the switch to Fulham.

Meanwhile, Fulham's U23 side are in the semi-final of the Premier League 2 Division Two division where they will face Newcastle in a one-legged game at St James' park on Monday May 8.
