Got his man: Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants Loic Remy at Anfield

Personal terms have already been agreed, worth around £80,000-a-week, and Remy is keen to test himself in the Champions League.

Should the deal go through, as expected, Remy will become Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers’ fifth signing of the summer after offloading Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

The 27-year-old forward will compete with Daniel Sturridge and Rickie Lambert for a starting spot at Anfield next season.
