Liverpool have agreed a fee of around £8million for QPR striker Loic Remy.

The French frontman has been linked with the Reds, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle so far this summer.

Hoops chief Tony Fernandes has set the striker a deadline to decide his future after rejecting several offers to leave Loftus Road as he searches for Champions League football.

However, a move to Anfield now appears close after the Reds made their move for the 27-year-old last night.

Remy is understood to have agreed personal terms on a deal worth around £80,000-a-week.
