Alan Judge is at the centre of a tug-of-war between newly-promoted Brentford and Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.

The Irishman has netted six times in 21 starts during a four-month loan spell with the Bees, scoring the winning goal that clinched promotion against Preston a fortnight ago.

Judge still has two years remaining on his contract at Ewood Park and is due to report back for pre-season training at the end of June.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton wants to sign the 25-year-old on a permanent basis, with Judge keen to discuss a move if he is deemed surplus to requirements by his parent club.

However, Blackburn chief Gary Bowyer has been impressed with the former Notts County man's exploits since his temporary switch to west London, and has left the door open for a return to the fold as he shakes up his squad for the forthcoming campaign.

Judge came through the ranks at the Lancashire club, but has made just seven league starts since re-signing for Rovers last summer.
