Juan Cuadrado’s agent has played down reports the Colombian is set to leave Chelsea this summer.

Juventus and Inter Milan have been heavily linked with a £27million move for the winger after a disappointing start to his Stamford Bridge career last season.

Cuadrado arrived in west London in January as part of the loan deal which took Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah to Fiorentina.

He largely remained confined to the substitute's bench as manager Jose Mourinho kept faith with energetic pair Eden Hazard and Willian on the flanks.

That fuelled talk the player would leave the club in search of first-team football during the transfer window but Caudrado’s representative Alessandro Lucci has refuted the claims.

Taking aim: Juan Cuadrado in action

He said: "I read with amazement in some English and Italian newspapers about imaginary figures and agents associated with Cuadrado, so I think it is right to clarify the situation

"Cuadrado is a Chelsea player, strongly backed by Mourinho who believes in him. Juan is fine in London and is very likely to remain at Chelsea."

Cuadrado started just four Premier League fixtures as Chelsea won the Premier League crown last term but failed to complete a single 90 minutes for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Salah’s refusal to return to Fiorentina on loan next season has caused a dispute between the Viola and Inter as the two clubs go to war over his signature.
