Boss plays down reports linking Fulham with loan swoop for Seattle Sounders star
Martin Jol has played down reports of a January move for former Fulham forward Clint Dempsey.
The American ace smashed 60 goals in 224 games during his five-year spell at Craven Cottage before his £6million move to Spurs in 2012.
However, the 30-year-old struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane and was sold to MLS side Seattle Sounders after less than 12 months in north London.
Fulham, Tottenham and Everton have been linked with a loan move for Dempsey in the new year.
But boss Jol said: “It’s unbelievable speculation, which is nice. I never talk about players, especially when they are not here.”
