QPR look set to miss out on the signing of Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina, with a year-long loan to Ipswich Town expected to be signed today.
The Hoops were among a number of Championship clubs interested in the 20-year-old, alongside Bolton Wanderers and Leeds United.
Manchester Evening News reported yesterday that Celina was being lined up for a move to the Championship following a successful year on loan with Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente last season.
Celina, who is described as a midfield playmaker, represented Norway at youth level before opting to represent Kosovo, something which he has done up to under-21 level.
He is highly regarded by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, and is tipped for a big future in the game.
Celina made 28 appearances for FC Twente last season, scoring five goals and five assists during the season.
