Harry Redknapp has revealed Adel Taarabt is part of his plans for the coming season.

The QPR forward spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan and was keen to make the move to Serie A permanent.

However, Taarabt was included in the Hoops' 20-man squad for their pre-season tour to Ireland, despite concerns over his fitness.

And Redknapp says the mercurial Moroccan will be staying at Loftus Road unless someone meets the club's asking price.

He said: “At this moment he is part of our plans for the season, unless someone comes in and pays the money that the club want.

“Otherwise, he will stay with us and we’ll be looking to get him to do his bit for the club this season.

"Adel is training with us, and we are working hard to get him fit for the start of the season.

“He has had a few little niggles but he trained this morning (Friday) and he will certainly play a part in one of the games while we are here. He is with us and ready.”
