Felix Magath has raided his homeland to sign German full-back Tim Hoogland.
The experienced 29-year-old defender has penned a one-year deal at Craven Cottage this morning.
He was a free agent following the expiry of his Schalke 04 contract, where he previously played under Magath, and has been capped at U18, U19 and U20-level for the German national team.
Hoogland began his career with Gelsenkirchen and helped FSV Mainz 05 win promotion to the Bundesliga in 2009 as part of a three-year stint at the club.
