Fulham target Sam Hughes has chosen Leicester City over a move to the Cottage.

The Chester FC defender, who Fulham had scouted extensively last season, has agreed personal terms with Leicester and looks set to complete his move to the 2015/16 Premier League champions imminently.

The 20-year-old had a stunning season for the National League side outfit at left back, and Slavisa Jokanovic's side had been one of the forerunners for his signature towards to first part of the campaign last year.

Interest cooled slightly, but the club continued to send scouts to monitor the progress of the left back as the season progressed.

Barnsley had a £80,000 bid rejected in January while Swansea decided against making a transfer deadline day move for him, but Hughes has now got his dream move to the Premier League in a deal reported to be worth £125k.
