Fulham have been after Rui Fonte almost since the transfer window opened.
And after a lengthy pursuit it looks like they have finally got their man.
Get West London first reported the interest in the former Arsenal man way back at the end of June.
Fonte was among three frontmen that the Whites placed bids for at the beginning of the summer window, but with time moving on it looked as if they had been unsuccessful with all three.
However, according to reports in Portugal today, Fonte looks set to finalise an £8 million move to Craven Cottage.
Portuguese publication Record have interviewed Braga chairman Antonio Salvador, who admitted Fonte - their captain - was not a player they wanted to sell.
Record report that Salvador said it was "impossible" to hold on to Fonte, after Fulham's fourth bid for the striker, thought to be in the region of £8 million.
Fonte's Wikipedia page has already been changed to say he is a Fulham player.
