Fulham are looking to complete a £5million deal to bring Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan to the club.
The Whites had made the frontman their main target this summer and are confident of completing a deal in the coming days.
The striker, who scored nine goals last season, only has one more year on his current deal at Bordeaux, so a fee will be involved and Fulham have money to spend as they bid to return to the Premier League after missing out on promotion in the play-offs last term.
The player was previously valued at around £12m but the Whites will be confident of landing him for much less.
Fulham have been in the market for a striker after seeing Chris Martin return to Derby when his loan spell came to an end.
The Whites made their first summer signing last week when they captured Marcelo Djalo for an undisclosed fee and added to their squad by bringing Lucas Piazon back to Craven Cottage.
