Fulham are rivalling Newcastle, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston to sign Manchester City youngster Tosin Adarabioyo, according to the Times.

The 19-year-old is highly rated at the Etihad Stadium and has been earmarked as a potential captain.

The Citizens are keen for the defender to gain first team experience, either in the Premier League or at a leading Championship side and will sanction a loan deal.

Adarabioyo has made four appearances for Pep Guardiola's side in the past year and has been a regular in their academy sides.

Fulham are on the hunt for a centre back after Tomas Kalas returned to Chelsea at the end of last season.

The Whites are keen to see the Czech Republic defender back at Craven Cottage but are also considering other options, with Hull wanting to bring Kalas to Humberside.

Kalas scored one goal in 36 Championship appearances and had a strong winning record when in the team.
