Slaviša Jokanović is still in the markets more players for his first full season at Fulham as they continue their pre-season in Portugal this weekend.

The Whites boss wants the clubs’ next target to be in the top six of the championship, as his team’s pre-season gets underway following a 3-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Fulham have been proving themselves in pre-season, also beating Cork 3-0 earlier this month and looking to strong at the back.

Jokanović is thinking over his immediate plans ahead of the start of the Championship season.

He told the club’s website: “I am working with the team I have in my hands.

“They work very hard, but the question is if we are happy enough and we want to improve ourselves or we believe it is enough. For myself, I believe we have to sign more people.”

Fulham will cross the border to Spain on Saturday to take on La Liga side Real Betis, before returning to Portugal to play C.D. Nacional on Monday.

The Whites end their pre-season with a friendly against Crystal Palace at home on 30th July.

New recruit: David Button

This will be Jokanović’s last chance to assess his squad’s ability in the field ahead of their Championship clash with Newcastle at Craven Cottage on 5th August.

He said: “We are going to arrive in the new season with enough high-level ambition to make something more important than we made last season.

“I want to be successful. I am prepared. I know what my team need in the field and it depends on what we are going to do in this few weeks in front of us.

“We still have enough time to show exactly what we want in the championship. This championship in front of us is probably one of the toughest with very important names and let’s be ready for a fight.”

Fulham have already signed forward Sone Aluko from Hull City and former Brentford goalkeeper David Button as well as left-back Scott Malone on a player exchange with Jazz Richards from Cardiff City.
