Fulham keeper David Stockdale has signed for Championship rivals Brighton for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old ended the campaign as Felix Magath's number one after ousting Holland international Maarten Stekelenburg.

However, with just 12 months remaining on his deal at Craven Cottage, Fulham have decided to cash in.

Magath had previously refused to be drawn on speculation linking Stockdale with a move away from the club.

Stockdale has made 52 appearances since signing for the club from Darlington in 2008 and also been called up to the full England squad.
