Fulham’s Jazz Richards has joined Cardiff City in a swap deal with Scott Malone heading in the opposite direction.

GetWestLondon yesterday revealed Richards was putting the finishing touches to his move to Wales as he underwent a medical at Cardiff City Stadium.

The 25-year-old made 26 appearances for Fulham last season before falling down the pecking order under manager Slavisa Jokanovic.

His transfer sees left-back Malone arrive in west London on a two-year year deal with the option of a further 12 month’s stay at Craven Cottage.

Malone, who started his career at Wolves, scored one goal in 56 appearances for Cardiff after joining from Millwall in January 2015.

He was runner-up for Millwall’s player of the year award in 2014 after helping the Lions secure Sky Bet Championship safety.

Jokanovic is keen to improve the Fulham squad further but is pleased with his defensive reinforcements so far having recently snared Tomas Kalas on loan.
