Fulham have agreed a deal with Brighton to take Oliver Norwood on a season-long loan.

The 26-year-old signed for the Premier League outfit from Reading last summer and made 16 starts for the club in the Championship as they won promotion to the top flight.

Norwood, who plays in midfield, is also a Northern Irish international and is under contract at the Amex Stadium until 2019 and it is believed that Brighton want him to go out on loan to get regular game time as he finds himself down the pecking order at the club.

Fulham have already made two signings in this transfer window, with Marcelo Djalo signing from Lugo and Ibrahima Cisse signing from Standard Liege, and are expected to be busy in the coming weeks as they look to build a team capable of winning promotion to the Premier League.
