QPR manager Harry Redknapp has ruled out a move for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

The England star has yet to agree a new deal at Stamford Bridge and could leave for nothing when his contract expires next month.

Lampard has been linked with a summer switch to newly-promoted Rangers as Redknapp reshapes his squad for the top-flight.

The 35-year-old played under his uncle at West Ham earlier in his career, but Harry has dampened speculation they could be set to work together again at Loftus Road.

"You're not going to get Frank Lampard, it's nonsense," said Redknapp.

"We couldn't afford Frank - he's still in the England squad. I'm sure he will stay at Chelsea anyway.

"I've never discussed players with Tony [Fernandes], Phil [Beard] or anybody because until Saturday we didn't know if we would be in the Championship or the Premier League."
