Adam Forshaw's long-protracted move from Brentford to Wigan Athletic has finally been completed for an undisclosed fee.

The Bees turned down two bids from former boss Uwe Rosler for the young midfielder earlier in the summer, and a third one was finally accepted last week.

The saga continued to drag on but with the transfer window slamming shut later tonight, the loose ends were finally tied up this afternoon.

Forshaw joined Brentford from Everton in 2012, later completing a permanent move and signing a new three-year contract in June 2013.

He was named League One Player of the Year for last season and selected in the 2013-14 PFA League One Team of the Year after helping the Bees to promotion to the Championship.

He has not featured for the first team this season, but in total he played 100 games for Brentford, scoring 11 goals.
